Phyllis J. Hall, 81, Mooresville, passed away peacefully at home March 5, 2016. Mrs. Hall was born December 6, 1934, in Henderson, Kentucky, to the late Otis and Vivian Duncan.
She attended Washington High School in Indianapolis. Mrs. Hall worked for 36 years for the former Merchants Bank, retiring in 1990. She enjoyed reading, bowling, and various crafts. A privately spiritual person, she took great care in personal Bible study. A proud homemaker and the consummate wife, mother, and grandmother, she will be fondly remembered by her loving family and many friends.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one brother, Wilburn Duncan.
Survivors include her husband of 65 years, Robert E. Hall, to whom she was united in marriage January 13, 1951; two sons, Keith Hall (Mary) and Randy Hall (Jackie); brother, Ray Duncan (Shirley); sister, Sue Phillips; grandchildren, Kathryn Hall, Kevin Hall (Amber), Bayley Hall, Garret Smith, and Justin Smith; great grandchildren, Aidric, Kaig, Jaxon, Lexi, Luke, and Logan; sister-in-law, Geraldine Duncan.
Visiting hours will not be observed. Friends and family will gather to celebrate the life of Phyllis Hall at the graveside service on Wednesday, March 9, 2016, 3 p.m., in West Newton Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children’s Hospital, the Alzheimer’s Association, or to Amvets.
