Ralph R. Alsup

73, of Camby, passed away on September 25, 2019 at St Francis Hospice House. Ralph was born on August 22, 1946 in Lee County, Virginia to the late Charlie Alsup and Willa Mae (Marlow) Alsup.

Ralph was a natural athlete and enjoyed staying active playing football in his younger years and bowled in his later years. He was a skilled carpenter owning and operating Alsup Construction and later RABA Investments, fixing up rental properties. He was an avid Colts and IU fan and rarely missed a game on TV. A faithful man, he and his wife Barbara attended Vineyard Community Church in Greenwood for many years.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son Ralph R. Alsup, Jr; 2 brothers and 4 sisters.
He is survived by his wife, Barbara (Kennedy) Alsup; children Kenneth (Dana) Alsup, Kim (William) Sink; 4 brothers Dave, Danny, Jerry, James Alsup and 4 grandchildren Corinne, Darren, Kenneth W. and Michelle.

A gathering of friends and family to celebrate Ralph’s life will be held Sunday Sept.29th from 2-6pm at Carlisle Branson Funeral Service & Crematory, Mooresville. Funeral services will be held Monday Sept. 30th at 11am at the funeral home. Burial will follow the services in West Newton Cemetery.
