Richard Dale Baldwin

Richard Dale Baldwin, 72, of Martinsville, died unexpectedly on Monday, November 18, 2024 at his home. He was born in Eminence, Indiana on February 26, 1952 to the late Howard Frank Baldwin and Geraldine June (Lund) Baldwin.

He graduated from Martinsville High School in 1969. He worked as an auto body man and then drove a dump truck for many years. Over 37 years ago, he married the love of his life, Peggy Ann Smith. Peggy preceded him in death on October 27, 2023.

In his spare time, Richard enjoyed making model cars, painting by numbers, and woodworking.

Survivors include his step-sons, James Dunham of Martinsville and Kelly Dunham of Martinsville; brother, Randy Baldwin of Locust Grove, VA; sisters, Carol Donaldson of Slatington, PA and Rebecca Jane Root of Slatington, PA; and grandchildren, Jaron Dunham and Alycia Dunham.

Richard is preceded in death by his parents, and his beloved wife, Peggy Baldwin.

In keeping with Richard’s wishes his earthly remains will be cremated and there are no public services. The cremation arrangements have been entrusted to Carlisle-Branson Funeral Service and Crematory in Mooresville.
