Richard “Dick” Bault, age 71, passed away on Wednesday, April 1, 2020. Dick enlisted in the Marines and was a proud Vietnam War veteran, then later joined the Navy Reserves, where he retired as a Seabee. Dick was a proud American and served as 2nd Vice Commander at the American Legion Post 103 in Mooresville. He was also a member of the VFW and Marine Corps League. Dick was a fine carpenter and retired as a superintendent from FA Wilhelm Construction. He enjoyed spending time with his girlfriend Phyllis, and was always joking around with his best buddies, Doug and Dawn. He could always be found fishing, working on household projects, or working on cars with them. Dick enjoyed motorcycles, golfing, and attending his beloved grandkids’ extracurricular activities.
He was preceded in death by his parents Benjamin Bault and Addie Irene Bandy, brother, William Bault, and nephew, JR Bault.
Dick is survived by his daughters Andrea Holom, and Allison (Micheal) Gauthier; granddaughter Valerie Holom; grandson Spencer Holom; and nephew Bill Watson.
A graveside service to celebrate the life of Richard W. Bault will be Saturday, October 17th at the Mooresville Cemetery in Mooresville, IN. The outdoor military service will begin at 3:00 pm. Please enter the cemetery from Franklin Street and curve to the right. The road will curve left, and keep following it. The location is in the furthest East section, toward the back.
After the graveside service, please join us at the American Legion Post 103 in Mooresville to continue the celebration and honor Richard’s life.
