Richard Durling
92, of Mooresville, passed away on March 1, 2020 at Meadow Lakes in Mooresville. Richard was born on July 24, 1927 in Detroit, Michigan to the late Wilson and Gertrude Sarah (Widmier) Durling.
Richard proudly served his country in the US Army during World War II. After returning from service he married the love of his life, Pauline G. (Rill) Durling on February 13, 1954. Together, they had three sons, Robert, William and Keith. Richard worked in maintenance for Frankfort School Corporation for many years, before retiring. He enjoyed traveling, food, going on field trips with his kids and grandchildren as well as rooting on his beloved Detroit Tigers. A strong, faithful man, he was active in his church, Plainfield Bible Church.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother Earl Durling.
He is survived by his wife of 66 years, Pauline G. Durling; sons Robert (Diana) Durling of Mooresville, William Durling, Keith Durling of St. Louis, MO; a brother Fred Durling of Australia; 2 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren.
Family will receive friends on Saturday, March 7th from 10am-12noon at Carlisle Branson Funeral Service & Crematory, Mooresville, with services beginning at 12noon Saturday in the funeral home. Burial will follow the services in White Lick Cemetery, Mooresville.
