Richard L. Ervin

Richard L. Ervin, 59, of Camby, passed away suddenly March 4, 2020. He was born July 18, 1960, in Ames, Iowa, to the late Richard Dwaine and Jimmie (Keen) Ervin. Richard was united in marriage to Edith Siders on May 25, 1991.

Richard worked as a superintendent for 30 years. He most recently worked for Brandt Construction the last 6 months as a superintendent. Richard attended Martinsville Baptist Tabernacle. Richard always had a pair of binoculars with him, because he enjoyed bird watching. His favorite bird was the crane. Even though Richard put work before play; he did enjoy being in the outdoors such as hiking, canoeing, and bike riding. He also enjoyed reading, crosswords, but most of all spending time with his family. Richard is going to be greatly missed by his loving family and friends.

Survivors include his loving wife of 28 years, Edith Ervin of Camby; three sons of Indianapolis, Joshua (Ashley); Philip (Michelle), and Kendall Ervin; mother, Joan Sherman Ervin; one sister, Pamela (Richard) Oviatt of Logan Iowa; and grandchildren, Jerry, Arthur, Isabella, Quentin, Noah, Elijah, Jacey, Hazel, Oakley.
