Richard O. Antrim, 77, lifelong Mooresville resident, passed away peacefully at home December 4, 2021. Dick was born March 2, 1944, in Martinsville, to the late Eugene and Luceil (Otting) Antrim. He was married to the late Barbara Jean (Block) Antrim for 49 years, prior to her death in 2019.
Dick was a graduate of Mooresville High School and held degrees from Indiana and Butler Universities. He was an accountant and had been employed at FMC and retired from Dotlich Crane. A man strong in his faith, Dick was a longtime member of the First United Methodist Church and had been a member of Hope United Presbyterian Church in Plainfield. Most recently, Dick attended Upper Room Church. He was an avid sports fan – he loved the Colts, IU and Butler basketball, Notre Dame football, and cheering on the Cubs. He and Barbara also enjoyed traveling, which often involved adventurous road trips. Dick will be remembered for his intelligence and kind personality.
Survivors include his children, Vincent Antrim, Amy Antrim, and Laura Kendall; two granddaughters, Kaitlyn Kendall and Claira Antrim.
Dick’s Life Celebration® Visitation will be Sunday, December 12, 2021, 2 to 5 p.m., at the Carlisle – Branson Funeral Service & Crematory and from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m., Monday, December 13, 2021, at the funeral home. Pastor Ron Wagner will officiate the 11 a.m. funeral service. Burial will be in the Mooresville Cemetery.
