Robbin L. Handy, 66, Indianapolis, passed away after a brief illness January 7, 2021. Mr. Handy was born October 21, 1954, in Indianapolis, to the late Harold and Marquetta L. “Mike” (Cannon) Handy. He married his high school sweetheart, Carol Sue (Evans) Handy, on July 20, 1973, and she preceded him in death August 7, 2013.
Robbin graduated from Northwest High School, where he excelled as a baseball and football player. Armed with a strong work ethic, he became a master electrician and worked for National Starch, Amtrak, and DGH through the years. Robbin loved motorcycles and was known to enjoy an occasional cold beer from time to time. The family has fond memories of trips to Six Flags and Kentucky Kingdom. Robbin was loyal to his family and always sacrificed for his loved ones. He will be fondly remembered by his family and friends.
Survivors include sons, Rob, Nicholas, Michael, and Alex Handy; brothers, David and Jeffrey Handy; grandchildren, Nathan, Dominick, Damian, Savannah, Ethan, Owen, Larissa.
Visitation will be Friday, January 15, 2021, 10 am – 12 Noon, at the Carlisle – Branson Funeral Service & Crematory, Mooresville. An opportunity to share memories will begin at 12 Noon. Burial will take place at Maple Hill Cemetery, Plainfield. Those attending will be required to wear a mask and practice physical distancing in an effort to provide a safe environment.
