Robert “Ed” Dillman, 81, of Indianapolis passed away April 9, 2021 at home. Ed was born May 12, 1939 in Anderson, Indiana to the late Charles and Ann (Souy) Dillman.
Ed proudly served in the United States Navy from 1958 to 1963. He was a produce manager for Marsh grocery store for 20 years, retiring in 2000. Ed was an avid golfer; he has even made a hole in one. In his younger days he enjoyed playing baseball and softball. Ed worked at the Indianapolis 500 for many years. He enjoyed listening to music. Some of his favorite artist are the Eagles, Train, Hotel California, Foreigner, and American Pie. He will be greatly missed by his loving family and friends.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife Phyllis Dillman; siblings, Charles Dillman, Jr. and Phillis Mayfield.
Survivors include his significant other, Patricia Mason; children, Robert Dillman, Michael Dillman, Cindy (Clint) Cornwall; step-son, Glen Trusley; 9 grandchildren and many other grandchildren he loved; Patricia’s children, Lacindra Love, Cindy Binkley, William Mason, Shanda Gray, Timothy Mason, Jack Mason, and Buddy Mason.
Visitation is Wednesday, April 14, 2021, 1 to 2 p.m., at the Carlisle – Branson Funeral Service & Crematory, Mooresville.
