Robert G. Boshears

Robert G. Boshears, 82, of Indianapolis, passed away suddenly November 21, 2020. Robert was born April 27, 1938, in Bloomington, IN to the late LeRoy and Sallie (McGhee) Boshears. He was united in marriage to the love of his life, Linda Knoy, on October 22, 1960.

Robert was a member of Springhill Christian Church. He worked over 30 years at General Motors as a forklift operator. Robert enjoyed doing yard work and just being outdoors. He was a huge IU Fan especially IU Basketball. Roberts’s biggest joy in life was the day he became a grandpa. He loved going to the grandchildren’s sporting events to cheer them on. Robert is going to be greatly missed by his loving family and friends.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a grandson, Adrian Lehr; a brother, R.V. Boshears; sisters, Glodene Bowles, Phyllis Clark, and Norma Branahm.

Survivors include his wife of 60 years, Linda Boshears; children, James LeRoy (Janice) Boshears, Beth Towns, and Patricia Garber; a brother, James F. Boshears; grandchildren, Tony Lehr, Daniel Garber, Jeremiah Garber, and Keziah (Daniel) Browne; and several great grandchildren.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, November 28, 2020 from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., at Springhill Christian Center, Mooresville; service will follow at 1:00 p.m. Burial will be at I.O.O.F. Cemetery, Waverly, Indiana. All guests attending visitation and/or services will be required to wear a mask at all times in an effort to promote a safe environment.
