Robert P. Ott, 79, Plainfield, passed away peacefully at home March 11, 2022, after a lengthy battle with Parkinson’s Disease. Bob was born October 25, 1942, in Indianapolis, to the late Nova LeRoy and Edith (Basinger) Ott. He married Regina (Pierson) Ott on July 23, 1965, and she survives.
Bob graduated from Ben Davis High School. With a strong work ethic and an ability to fix just about anything, he enjoyed a successful career with Western Electric, now Lucent Technologies, which spanned more than 30 years. Bob retired in his mid-fifties and was able to enjoy many retirement years. Earlier in life, he enjoyed hunting and playing bass guitar. His enjoyment for the outdoors never left him; he could often be found exploring his property on his Gator in more recent years. Bob’s memory will be cherished by his loving family and many friends.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one daughter, Barbara Ott; one brother, Roy Ott, Jr.
Survivors include his wife of 56 years, Regina; children, Robert P. (Linda) Ott, Jr., Debra (David) Campbell and Kim (Doug) Esamann; grandchildren, Paxton (Jacob) Ott, Alex Campbell, Regan (Brad) Pitzer, Kalee (Ricky) Taylor, Conley (Morgan) Esamann; great grandchildren, Raeley, Kaelan, Easton, Remy, Ryah, and Carson.
Bob’s Life Celebration® Visitation will be Thursday, March 17, 2022, 4 to 7 p.m., at the Carlisle – Branson Funeral Service & Crematory, Mooresville.
