Robert W. Mueller

Robert W. Mueller, 81, Plainfield, died December 18, 2011, in his residence. Mr. Mueller was born November 23, 2011, in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, to the late Alvin and Evelyn Mueller.

He graduated from the University of Wisconsin and proudly served in the United States Army. Mr. Mueller worked as an accountant for National Starch from 1983-94. Prior to, he worked for Clinton Corn Processing, now ADM, in Iowa. He was a member of St. Stephen's Lutheran Church and enjoyed working with stained glass. In addition, Mr. Mueller had an interest in water conservation and used his knowledge in that field to assist National Starch. He also volunteered with Senior Sentinels which helps protect the elderly.

He was preceded in death by his siblings, Ken Mueller and Carole Lambrecht.

Survivors include his wife of 53 years, Carolyn Mueller; son, Doug Mueller of Plainfield; daughter, Vicki Mueller of Virginia; brother David Mueller of Florida.

A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, December 27, 2011, 11 a.m., in St. Stephen's Lutheran Church, Plainfield. Friends may greet the family following the service. Cremation will take place at the Morgan County Crematory, Mooresville. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Pulmonary Fibrosis Foundation.
