Robynn LeAnne Thompson

Robynn LeAnne Thompson, 53, of Greenwood, passed peacefully at home with family by her side on June 3, 2024, after a long and courageous battle with cancer. She was born in Indianapolis on September 20, 1970, to Darrell Ball and Sandra (Bonds) Malone. Robynn attended Ben Davis Community Schools. She married Ben Thompson on October 31, 2009. 

Robynn was passionate about helping people. She became an activist for the Benign Fasciculation Syndrome community. Her caring heart continued after the loss of her son when she began losing her hair. She was determined to help other women feel beautiful and opened her own wig-manufacturing business to offer affordable wigs. She owned and operated Beauty Nook in Greenwood for 5 years before she became ill. 

Robynn loved doing her hair and makeup and collected pallets. She enjoyed listening to classic rock, roller skating, and playing the drums. Most importantly, Robynn loved spending time with her children and family. 

Robynn is preceded in death by her son, Kerk Ball; and her father, Darrell Ball.

Survivors include her husband of 14 years, Ben Thompson; children, BreAnna, Megan, Lindsey, Trae, Thiyah (husband, Tyler), Andrew, Kat, Jenna, Tressa, Joshua, Jesse, Makhi, and Khayden-Dru; sister, Brandi Cash (husband, Tom); paternal grandmother, Phyllis Green; and 13 grandchildren with one on the way.
