Rocky Biggs, 57, Monrovia, died suddenly August 4, 2013, while touring on his Harley at the Sturgis Motorcycle Rally. Rocky was born September 19, 1955, in Indianapolis, to the late Donald B. and Betty (Clark) Biggs.
He served in the United States Coast Guard and was a member of the Mooresville American Legion Post #103. He was also a member of the Mooresville Eagles. Rocky had been a diesel truck mechanic for six years at TA in Clayton. He was an avid motorcycle enthusiast and was very excited to be visiting Sturgis for the first time. He enjoyed fishing and caring for his many dogs. Rocky will be missed by a loving family and many friends.
Survivors include his wife of 27 years, Kelly Biggs; children, Andrea Woods (Darin) of Mooresville and Eric Biggs of Monrovia; sister, Donita Shanks of Monrovia; nephew, Bryan Beville; niece, Tammy Thornton; brother, Ronald Biggs of Florida.
Friends and family will gather on Thursday, August 8, 2013, 4 to 8 p.m., in the Carlisle – Branson Funeral Service & Crematory, Mooresville. The visitation will conclude at 8 p.m. with the Mooresville Honor Guard providing the military service. Cremation will follow at the Morgan County Crematory, Mooresville.
