Ronald E. Pritchard, 82, Mooresville, died February 22, 2014, in St. Francis Hospital, Mooresville. Ron was born July 24, 1931, in Morgan County, to the late William S. and Hazel (Stephens) Pritchard.
He graduated from Mooresville High School in 1949 and proudly served in the United States Air Force as a Staff Sergeant in Japan. A lifelong farmer, Ronald also was the caretaker and sexton of the White Lick Cemetery for 40 years. He served two terms as the Brown Township Trustee and also worked several years as the Morgan County Highway Superintendent. Ron was a bus driver for 20 years in Mooresville and always enjoyed driving the students to the various sporting events. He will be missed by a loving family and many friends.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by siblings, William C. Pritchard, Rosanna Beck, and Wilma Edwards.
Survivors include his sisters, Mary Beck of Bargersville and Laverne Pritchard of Morgantown; a host of nieces, nephews, great nieces, and great nephews; special friends, Edward Bucker, Charles Harvey, and Lynn Taylor. A special thanks goes to the caregivers who helped Ron at Miller’s Merry Manor in Mooresville.
The funeral service will begin at 10 a.m., Wednesday, February 26, 2014, in the Carlisle – Branson Funeral Service & Crematory, Mooresville, with calling there from 4 to 8 p.m., Tuesday, February 25, 2014.
