Ronald E. Roemer, 76, died unexpectedly Sunday, June 28, 2020. He was born April 7, 1944, the oldest child of the late Russell and Evelyn (Palmer) Roemer.
Ron graduated from Monrovia High School in 1963 and from Ivy Tech. He was a happily retired Camby resident who proudly served in the United States Air Force, became a draftsman, an entrepreneur, and also sold real estate. He loved socializing and his morning coffee was spent out with friends at his favorite breakfast spot. He enjoyed long conversation with his daughters, and he had a passion for multiple hobbies. He not only loved to tell stories, but he had an arsenal of jokes. He was a devoted father and devoted fiancé who will be fondly remembered by his family and friends.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, William Roemer and a sister, Sandy Roemer-Anderson.
Survivors include his daughters, Stacy Roemer, Justine Roemer, and Courtney Roemer; fiancé, Hilary Thurmond; grandchildren, Nathaniel Long and Jeanna Long.
Friends and family will gather Thursday, July 2, 2020, 2 to 3 p.m., at Carlisle – Branson Funeral Service & Crematory, Mooresville. The memorial service will follow at 3 p.m., with Pastor Cameron Bottema officiating. Ron will be buried at Bethel Cemetery.
