Ronald F. Walters

55, of Mooresville, passed away on December 13, 2022. Ron was born on February 11, 1967 in Indianapolis, Indiana to the late Donald Walters and Irene (Eichmiller) Walters, who survives.

Ron worked in construction with his brothers in his younger years. He also served in prison ministry for over 25 years, which lead him to a career as a corrections officer with the Indiana Corrections Department in Plainfield.

He was a devoted family man, who enjoyed spending time with his family as well as spending time outdoors. He enjoyed deer hunting, fishing, or simply walking his family property with his coon dogs. He will be remembered as a good husband, father, brother and grandpa, who was a free spirit, a dreamer, and a bad ass who had a big heart, that would help anyone.

He was preceded in death by his father Donald Walters; sister Michelle Walters; sisters in law Dana Walters, and Janet Walters.

He is survived by his wife of 36 years, Melody (Emmitt) Walters; sons Zachary (Ashley) Emmitt, Anthony Walters; grandchildren Hailee, Savannah, Abby, Gaven, Brantley, Raelyn; mother Irene Walters; brothers Mike (Chris) Walters, Gary Walters, as well as several nieces and nephews.

Ron’s wishes were that he be cremated, and scattered privately on his family hunting property, where he loved to be. A celebration of Ron’s life will be held on Thursday, December 22nd at 4pm, at the Amo Conservation Bird Dog Club, 3802 South County Road 550 West, Coatesville, IN 46121, with tributes and memories being shared starting at 5pm.
