Roselyn E. Crawford Thompson, 78, Camby, died December 17, 2021. Mrs. Thompson was born October 11, 1943, in Indianapolis, to the late Raymond Augustus and Hazel (Dickey) Hatten.
Roselyn graduated from Decatur Central High School in 1961 and continued her education at Ivy Tech and IUPUI, earning a bachelor's degree. She held many interesting jobs throughout her life, including years as a cake decorator at Burny Brothers in Chicago, as a cook at Biff’s Bakery in Mooresville, and as an administrative assistant at Linel. A hard working lady, Roselyn most recently worked as a caregiver and housekeeper. She was a devoted member of Life Line Baptist Church, Camby. In her earlier years, she was a competitive bowler. She loved to birdwatch, watch farm animals, and was content taking in a sunset. Above all, she was a loving mom, grandma and great grandma whose memory will be cherished by her loving family.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two husbands, Clifton J. Crawford and Norman Thompson; sister, Janice Garner; granddaughter, Jessica Rose Crawford.
Survivors include two sons, Clifton (Tammy) and Thomas (Susie) Crawford; 12 grandchildren; 4 great grandchildren.
Visitation will be Thursday, January 6, 2022, 5 to 8 p.m., at the Carlisle – Branson Funeral Service & Crematory, Mooresville. Services will begin at 1 p.m., Friday, January 7, 2022, at the funeral home, with Pastor Tim Lindsey II officiating. Burial will be in Fairfield Friends Cemetery.
