Roy Oliver Ellis

Roy Oliver Ellis, 80, of Avon, passed away August 26, 2019. He was born March 11, 1939, in Indianapolis, to the late Orville Ellis and Flossie (Wells) Parrigen.

Roy was a faithful Protestant. He worked as a welder for many years at Carrier Corp. After retiring from Carrier, he worked in the home construction industry. Roy was an avid golfer for over 60 years, winning numerous awards and trophies. He is going to be greatly missed by his loving family and friends.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Paul Ellis; and a granddaughter, Erica Ellis.

Survivors include his loving wife, Sharon (Rush) Ellis of Avon; children, Anthony (Patia) Ellis of Martinsville and Sandra (Dwight) Elliott of Indianapolis; grandchildren, David Lamour, Lindsay (Rick) Parrish; and great grandchildren, Abigail LeVar, Christian Lamour and Trent Lamour.

According to his wishes, he will be cremated and services will be held privately at a later date.
