Ruth Willey Gajderowicz, 85, Mooresville, died peacefully December 31, 2013, in Plainfield Health Care Center. Ruth was born September 30, 1928, in Indianapolis, to the late Theodore and Ruth (Hartman) Willey.
She attended Southport High School and married the late Henry “Hank” Gajderowicz on September 26, 1948. Ruth, affectionately known as “G” to family and friends, moved to Mooresville in 1957, where she was a faithful member of the First United Methodist Church. She was a proud homemaker and the quintessential mother and grandmother. She played a very active role in her children’s and grandchildren’s lives and was always on the sidelines for various sporting events through the years.
In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by siblings, John Willey, Mary Readle, and Martha Hibbard; son-in-law, Timothy Wallman.
Survivors include her children, Larry Gajderowicz (Joanie) of Newburgh, Susan Gajderowicz of Indianapolis, Linda Esterline (Rev. Gordon) of Mooresville, Laura Gajderowicz of Mooresville, and Julie Wallman of Camby; grandchildren, Jason (Carrie), Ben (Becca Frankosky), Katie, Tyler, Jake, Jordi, and Stacy; one great grandchild, Alan.
Friends and family will gather on Thursday, January 2, 2014, 4 to 8 p.m., in the Carlisle – Branson Funeral Service & Crematory, Mooresville. The funeral service will begin at 10 a.m., Friday, January 3, 2014, in the First United Methodist Church, 900 N. Indianapolis Road, Mooresville. Burial will be in Forest Lawn Memory Gardens, Greenwood. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the First United Methodist Church.
