Ruth Webb Kincaid, 92, Camby, died peacefully at home, surrounded by her loving family at 12:24 a.m., January 9, 2 015. Mrs. Kincaid was born September 13, 1922, in Bainbridge, Indiana, to the late Lawrence Lee and Nellie May (McIntyre) Webb.
She graduated from Center Grove High School and was a proud homemaker most of her life. An active church member, Ruth was a former member of Bluff Creek Christian Church and more recently a member at Valley Mills Christian Church. She enjoyed playing cards, particularly euchre, double solitaire, and hand-in-foot. Ruth and her late husband lived in Okeechobee, Florida for a number of years. When she moved back to Indiana, she worked as a waitress at Dairy Queen in Waverly and made many friends while serving tables. Above all, she loved her family, and was especially fond of her grandchildren and great grandchildren who affectionately referred to her as “Little Grandma” and “Grandma Sugar”.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by husband, John W. Kincaid; children, Victoria Ruth and Benny Kincaid; siblings, Raymond, Herbert, David, and Emma Sue.
Survivors include her children, Marie Haggard (Herb) of Mooresville, Julene Edwards (Marty) of Camby, Beulah Clothier (Don) of Danville, and Rick Kincaid of Camby; sister, Doris Parker of Orlando, Florida; 12 grandchildren; 29 great grandchildren; 1 great great grandchild.
The funeral service will begin at 11 a.m., Tuesday, January 13, 2015, in the chapel at Carlisle – Branson Funeral Service & Crematory, Mooresville, with calling there from 5 – 8 p.m., Monday, January 12, 2015. Her grandson-in-law, Pastor Michael Beaumont, will officiate, and burial will be in Bluff Creek Cemetery, Bargersville. Memorial contributions may be made to Valley Mills Christian Church.
