Sally V. Sterrett

Sally V. Sterrett, 88, of Avon, died on Sunday, November 19, 2023 at Countryside Meadows in Avon.  She was born on July 18, 1935 in Liberty, Kentucky to the late Earl Bryant Wilcher and Bonnie Hazel (King) Wilcher.

She graduated from Mooresville High School with the class of 1952.  She married Paul E. Sterrett.  They enjoyed over 52 years of marriage before he passed in 2007.  Sally worked alongside her husband at the Mooresville Town Court where Paul served as judge and Sally as office manager. 

Sally was a member of the Brooklyn Church of God and was formerly a member of Mooresville Church of God.  She enjoyed many hobbies including cooking, traveling, and was an avid reader.

She is survived by her family and friends including her son, Kent (wife, Sandra) Sterrett of Kennesaw, GA; daughter, Paula (husband, George) Abell of Brazil, IN; grandchildren, Travis Thompson, Bonnie Neal, Chad Sterrett, and Sean Sterrett; and great grandchildren, Brantley Thompson, Nora Thompson, Charleigh Thompson, Ebba Neal, Jackson Sterrett, and Andrew Sterrett.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Earl and Bonnie; husband, Paul Sterrett; brothers, Elwood Wilcher and Curtis Wilcher; and great grandchild, Charlotte Sterrett.

A memorial service will be scheduled and announced at a later date.  Carlilse-Branson Funeral Service and Crematory has been entrusted with the arrangements.
