Sandra K. Sims

Sandra K. Sims, 70, Mooresville, passed away February 1, 2017, in Franciscan Health, Indianapolis. Sandra was born in Indianapolis on June 27, 1946, to the late Dennis and Katherine Pansy (Sipes) Welty.

She was a proud homemaker and a strong Christian who always enjoyed spending time with her family. She loved to crochet and was especially fond of her cockatiels. Sandra will be fondly remembered by her loving family and many friends.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Donald Sims; son, Donnie Sims; brothers, William and Dennis Welty; sister, Diane Willis.

Survivors include her daughters, Rebecca Whaley (Marvin) of Paragon and Sandra Cline (Archie) of Mooresville; brothers, Robert Welty of Plainfield, Darrell Welty of Mooresville, Larry Welty of Kentucky, Jerry Welty of Mooresville, Rodney Welty of Indianapolis; sisters, Jenny Harper of Kentucky and Betty Keith of Wyoming; four grandchildren, Brian, Stacy, Andrea, and Siera; three great grandchildren, Josie, Benjamin, Westin, and one on the way.

The funeral service will begin at 2 p.m., Saturday, February 4, 2017, in the chapel at
