Shari (Petersen) Danielson, 51, Mooresville, passed away on May 23, 2024, after a year-long battle with health complications. Shari was born October 22, 1972, in Fairfax, Missouri, to the late George M. Petersen and Susan (Comer) Petersen, who survives. Shari was united in marriage to Shawn Danielson on May 7, 1994.
Shari graduated from Mooresville High School in 1991. An exceptionally caring and kind person, she worked as a Direct Support Technician (DST) for Damar for 20 years. Shari had wonderful relationships with many of her clients that she helped tremendously through the years.
Shari was a creative person who loved crafts – she enjoyed crocheting, quilting, drawing, and even creating small woodworking projects. She was also a talented musician who played piano, guitar, clarinet, and had a great singing voice. Shari could often be found utilizing her green thumb in the garden where she loved to grow beautiful flowers and an abundant harvest of fresh vegetables. Often those vegetables were used in Shari’s wonderful recipes. She was never afraid to experiment in the kitchen by using her creative talents with new and innovative recipes. Perhaps her greatest talents involved her ability to connect with people. Simply put, Shari was a people person. She cared deeply, was exceptional at encouraging others, giving good and sometimes challenging advice, and was a friend you could count on to be there. Her many friends and family will cherish Shari’s memory.
Survivors include her loving husband, Shawn; son, Matthew; mother, Susan Petersen; brother, Paul (Tiffany) Petersen; niece and nephews, Tyler, Jonathan, Hunter, and Chloe; mother-in-law, Mary Jo Danielson; brother-in-law, Andy (Emily) Danielson and their children, Amelia and Noah.
