Shawnda Kay (Bradberry) Meek

Shawnda Kay (Bradberry) Meek, 43, of Mooresville, passed away suddenly at IU Health West Hospital on August 11, 2019. Shawnda was born January 17, 1976, in Indianapolis, to Gary Allen Hicks, Sr., Connie Bradberry and adoptive father Bradley John Bradberry, Sr.

Shawnda was always thinking of others. Her kind spirit and love for children is why she helped foster many children through the years. Shawnda attended Brooklyn Church of God. She enjoyed country music, traveling, animals, but most of all spending time with her family. Shawnda is going to be greatly missed by her loving family and friends.

She was precede in death to her father, Gary Allen Hicks, Sr., and sister, Melody Baker.

Survivors include her husband of 16 years, Trace Meek of Mooresville; children, Stephen Allen Blankenship of Mooresville and Chase Meek of Mooresville; mother and father, Bradley and Connie Bradberry of Mooresville; brothers, Brad (Amy) Bradberry, Jr. of Mooresville, Gary (Wendy) Hicks of Monrovia, and Kenneth Hicks of Indianapolis; sisters, Deana (Matt) Rossi of Colorado Springs,
Colorado and Andrea (Jack) Robbins of Monrovia; twin nieces, Savannah and Hannah Bradberry; and several aunts and uncles.

Family and friends will gather to celebrate the life of Shawnda Kay (Bradberry) Meek from 4 p.m. until 8 p.m. on Thursday, August 15, 2019 in the chapel at Carlisle – Branson Funeral Service & Crematory, 39 East High Street, Mooresville. Pastor Rodney Walker will officiate the service beginning at 10:30 a.m. on Friday, August 16, 2019 at Brooklyn Church of God: 8606 N Country Club Rd, Mooresville, IN 46158. Burial will follow at Mooresville Cemetery. While flowers are welcome, memorial contributions may be made to American Diabetes Association; envelopes will be provided by the funeral home.
