Shirley Ann Hansel

77, of London, KY, formerly Of Mooresville, IN passed away on September 19, 2019 in London, KY. Shirley was born on February 1, 1942 in Indianapolis, IN to the late Sylvester C.E. Swatts and Dorothy Alice (Perkins) Swatts.

She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and sister. Strong on her faith, she was a member of the Victory Lighthouse Holiness Church in London, KY. She married Benjamin J. “Bud” Hansel on October 21, 1960 and he survives. Together they had four children, Donald, Ronald, James and Judy.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son Ronald R. Hansel; brother Richard L. Swatts; sister Martha J. Thompson.

She is survived by her husband of almost 59 years, Benjamin J. “Bud” Hansel; sons Donald R. Hansel, Rev. James L. Hansel; daughter Judy K. Chase; Barbara M. Borden, Linda L. Si; 2 grandchildren, 7 great grandchildren and a host of extended family and friends.

Visitation will be held Monday from 5-8pm at Carlisle- Branson Funeral Service & Crematory, Mooresville, IN. Funeral services will be Tuesday at 10am in the funeral home. Burial will follow in White Lick Cemetery, Mooresville.
