Spencer W. Ingram, 70, Mooresville, died suddenly June 6, 2014, in Methodist Hospital. Mr. Ingram was born August 6, 1943, in Indianapolis, to the late Virgil and Lillian (Padgett) Ingram.
He graduated from Westfield High School in 1961 and proudly served in the United States Air Force. Spencer enjoyed his career as the Fire Chief at Rolls Royce for just less than 45 years, retiring in 2010. He had a very full life that he lived to the fullest. He stayed busy with all kinds of outdoor activities including golf, biking, hunting, fishing, fitness, basketball, baseball, softball (playing until he was 64), water skiing, and traveling. He was strongly devoted to his Savior and had been a member of Faith Baptist, Good Shepherd Baptist, and most recently, Life Line Baptist Church. His memory will live on in all those he touched in this life.
In addition to his parents, Spencer was preceded in death by his daughter, Sherry Wallace and a brother, Dennis Ingram.
Survivors include his wife, Betty (King) Ingram, to whom he was united in marriage November 1, 1963; daughter, Lori “Dink” Norman and her husband Bill of Martinsville; grandsons, Spencer and Randy Norman.
Friends and family will gather on Wednesday, June 11, 2014, 4 to 8 p.m. in the Life Center at Life Line Baptist Church, 13387 N. Slideoff Road, Camby. The funeral service will begin there at 11 a.m., Thursday, June 12, 2014. Pastor Tim Lindsey will officiate. Burial will be in White Lick Cemetery, Mooresville.
