Stan R. O'Dell

Stan R. O’Dell, 63, Mooresville, died December 26, 2012, in St. Francis Hospital, Indianapolis. Stan was born December 22, 1949, in Linton, to the late Robert and Ruth (Shake) O’Dell.

He graduated from Mooresville High School in 1968 and attended Indiana State University. Stan worked for Indiana Machine Works, formerly Labeco for a number of years and has most recently been employed at Overton Industries for 23 years. Stan was an avid outdoorsman, enjoying hunting and fishing. He was a patient and kind family man who enjoyed attending his grandchildren’s sporting events. Stan will be missed by a loving family and many friends.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Steve O’Dell and one granddaughter, Brianna McQueen.

Survivors include his wife, Chris (Baldwin) O’Dell, to whom he was united in marriage September 22, 1989; children, Angie McQueen (Steve), Jennifer Dietrich, Ryan O’Dell, Sarah O’Dell, and Kyle O’Dell; brother, Stewart O’Dell of Mooresville; grandchildren, Rachelle Lucas, Derek Lucas, Tori McQueen, Otto Dietrich (Nicole), Owen Dietrich, Olivia Dietrich, and Jesse Franklin; great grandchildren, Jaelynn Lucas and Ayonna Dietrich.

The funeral service will begin at 11 a.m., Monday, December 31, 2012, in the Carlisle – Branson Funeral Service & Crematory, Mooresville, with calling there from 2 to 6 p.m., Sunday, December 30, 2012. Rev. Jeff Faull will officiate the service, and burial will be in White Lick Cemetery, Mooresville.
