Steven A. Yates

Steven A. Yates, 68, of Bicknell, IN (formerly of Martinsville) died at his home on Monday, June 2, 2014 surrounded by his loving family. He was born on January 21, 1946 in Spencer, IN to the late Charles and Francais Yates.

He provided for his family by working for Navistar as a foundry worker. He along with his wife were long time members of the First Christian Church in Bicknell. Steven was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting and fishing.

He is survived by his wife Debra Yates; his five children, Micheal Clark (Christy) of North Carolina, Patricia Smith (Tom) of Paragon, Jimmie Barrett of Camby, Jason Yates (Rachel) of Martinsville, and Catrina Yates of Bicknell; his two sisters, Karen Byers and Christine Neighbors both of Bicknell; twelve grandchildren and one great granddaughter.

Funeral service will take place at 10:00AM on Thursday, June 5, 2014 at Carlisle-Branson Funeral Service & Crematory, Mooresville with burial to follow at Mooresville Cemetery. A visitation will be held from 4:00 until 8:00PM at the funeral home on Wednesday, June 4, 2014.
