Steven Michael Woodcock

Steven Michael Woodcock, 49, Mooresville, passed away November 17, 2016. Steven was born August 10, 1967, in Indianapolis to the late William Ray Woodcock and Dixie (Varvel) Woodcock, who survives.

Steven attended Mooresville High School. He was extremely talented with his hands and could literally build anything. Steven had a heart of gold and was always willing to help anyone in need. He was the kind of guy who would give his last dime to a perfect stranger. He enjoyed animals, especially horses and dogs. He also had a special bond with children and loved to spend time with his grandchild.

Steven was preceded in death by his father, William Ray Woodcock; a sister who died as an infant, Carrie Jeannette Woodcock.

Survivors include his children, William Jesse Woodcock, Cory Michael "Woodcock" Paskins, Stephanie Woodcock, and Zachary Taylor Woodcock; mother, Dixie Woodcock; brother, Timothy Woodcock; sisters, Mary Sue Harland and Amber Lynch; step-mother, Faye Woodcock; grandchild, William Ira Woodcock; step-siblings, Regina Gill, Tammy Dickert, Paul Roell, Tina Boyd.

Friends and family will gather from 5 to 7 p.m., Tuesday, November 22, 2016, in the chapel at Carlisle – Branson Funeral Service & Crematory, Mooresville. The funeral service will begin at 7 p.m., and cremation will follow at the Morgan County Crematory, Mooresville.
