Sylvia Ann Davis

Sylvia 'Ann' Davis, 62, Mooresville, died December 13, 2011, in Indianapolis. She was born on October 14, 2011, to James and Sylvia (Palmer) Davis.

Sylvia worked for the Mooresville Consolidated School Corporation in the cafeteria. She also worked at Denny's Restaurant in Plainfield. Sylvia bravely fought her battle with cancer and will be greatly missed by her beloved family.

She was preceded in death by her father, James Davis; son, Brian Poynter.

Survivors include her daughter, Angie Poynter of Indianapolis; mother, Sylvia (Palmer) Davis of Indianapolis; brothers, Patrick Davis (Judy) of Brownsburg, Larry Davis (Teresa) of Monrovia; sister, Nancy Mutz (John) of Mooresville; grandson, Clay Hendershot; and her canine companion, Bridget.

A memorial gathering will be held from 2 to 4 p.m., on Sunday, January 8, 2012, at the VFW Post 1111, 411 S. Indiana Street, Mooresville to celebrate the life of Ann and her son Brian Poynter.
