Taryn Powell

Taryn Powell, 56, Mooresville, died peacefully at home July 7, 2013, after a brief battle with cancer. Taryn was born July 19, 1956, to the late Robert and Mary Allen.

She graduated from Mooresville High School in 1974. She worked for 30 years, beginning with the Indianapolis Glove Company, which is now Anixter. Taryn enjoyed antiquing and especially spending time with her grandchildren. She was a happy person, a natural caregiver, loving wife, and caring mother. She will be missed by a loving family and many friends.

Survivors include her husband, Ernie Powell, to whom she was united in marriage March 6, 1982; children, Chad, Ernie, and Heather Powell, all of Mooresville; sister, Jan Mathis (Mark) of Mooresville; brother, Robert Allen (Sandra) of Mooresville; ten grandchildren.

The funeral service will begin at 10 a.m., Wednesday, July 10, 2013, in the Carlisle – Branson Funeral Service & Crematory, Mooresville, with calling there from 4 to 8 p.m., Tuesday, July 9, 2013.
