Teresa Lea Grimes

Teresa Lea Grimes, 55, Camby, died peacefully at home October 24, 2015. Teresa was born November 22, 1959, in Martinsville, to the late Robert Donofrio and Gloria (Wilson) Hanson, who survives.

Teresa graduated from Mooresville High School in 1979. She worked as a recovery nurse for 17 years at Kendrick Hospital. She later worked as a unit secretary at Indiana Rehab. She was a member of West Newton Youth & Worship Center. Teresa loved life – she enjoyed trips to Tennessee, working in her garden, and had a special love for her dogs, Buddy and Luci. She will be missed by a loving family and many friends.

In addition to her father, Teresa was preceded in death by her husband, Carl Grimes.

Survivors include her mother and step-father, Gloria and Charles Hanson of Camby; sister, Deanna Gibson (Mike) of Camby; half-brother, Jeff and Bobby Donofrio; niece, Sonya Marie Payne (Nathan); nephew, Jeffrey Evan VanWinkle; great nephews, Maximus Vincent Payne and Ezekiel Charles Payne; a host of loving cousins.

Friends and family will gather to celebrate the life of Teresa Lea Grimes on Tuesday, October 27, 2015, 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the chapel at Carlisle – Branson Funeral Service & Crematory, Mooresville. The funeral service will be officiated by Pastors Tony Cannon and David Payton, immediately following visitation at 1 p.m. Burial will be in West Newton Cemetery.
