Thelma L. Roberson James, 92, Mooresville, died May 1, 2012, in Meadow Lakes, Mooresville. Thelma was born July 31, 1919, in Wheatland, Indiana, to the late Clyde and Fern (Cain) Patrick.
She had been employed in the cafeteria at Mooresville High School. Mrs. James enjoyed sewing and loved her dogs. She and her husband also spent time traveling throughout the United States during their retirement years. She will be missed a loving family and many friends.
In addition to her parents, Thelma was preceded in death by her first husband, Ralph E. Roberson, Jr., who died in 1972; brothers, William, Charles, and Don Patrick; grandson, Scott Perry; step-daughter, Phyllis Hearn; sons-in-law, Jack L. Perry and George E. Griesser.
Survivors include her husband, Everett E. “Bud” James; children, Sandy Perry of Mooresville, William Roberson (Linda) of Camby, and Toni Griesser of Mooresville; step children, Jeri Hatfield (Rick) of Mooresville, Linda Long of Cleveland, Tennessee, and Dennis James (Natalie) of Avon; grandchildren, Chris Spengler (Brian), Angie Borders (Tony), Will Roberson (Joslyn), Brent Perry, Kelly Kauffman; great grandchildren, Kaden, Kasley, Kinley, and Kohley Roberson; Lily and Mitchell Spengler; Brittany, Samantha, and Dalton Perry; Amanda Kauffman, Shanna Perry, and Devin Perry; six step grandchildren; seven step great grandchildren.
The funeral service will begin at 10 a.m., Saturday, May 5, 2012, at Carlisle – Branson Funeral Service & Crematory, Mooresville, with calling there from 4 to 8 p.m., Friday, May 4, 2012. Burial will be in the Mooresville Cemetery. Rev. Terry Crist will officiate. Memorial contributions may be made to the Humane Society of Morgan County.
