Thelma Shepherd Sizemore, 91, Mooresville, died May 2, 2011, in Hendricks Regional Hospital. Mrs. Sizemore was born December 19, 1919, in McQuary County, Kentucky, to the late John Will and Mae (Bryant) Shepherd.
She was a proud wife and homemaker, caring for her husband and her children her entire life. She enjoyed quilting, gardening, cooking, and was a talented seamstress. She will be missed by her loving family and many friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband, James Matt Sizemore in 1997.
Survivors include her ten children, Gervus “Gerry” Sizemore, Ronald “Dean” Sizemore, Ella Chestnut, Wanda Hood, Simon Sizemore, Garry Sizemore, Linda Davison, Donald Sizemore, Marinda Barger, and Jimmy Sizemore; 21 grandchildren; 36 great grandchildren; 19 great great grandchildren, making her directly responsible for 86 heirs. Additional survivors include her siblings, Paul Shepherd, Mary Stewart, and Chesney Branham.
Dr. Earl Chestnut will officiate the 1 p.m. funeral service on Thursday, May 5, 2011, at Carlisle-Branson Funeral Service & Crematory, Mooresville, with calling there from 3 to 8 p.m., Wednesday, May 4, 2011. Burial will be in White Lick Cemetery, Mooresville.
