Thomas M. Quinn, 82, passed away unexpectedly at home September 10, 2020. Tom was born in Washington, Indiana on August 31, 1938.
After graduating from high school in Washington, Tom proudly served in the United States Army. Always a hard worker, he worked for Chevrolet, Sun Electric, and retired from Rolls Royce. He also owned and operated Tom’s Standard Service Station for a number of years. Tom enjoyed the outdoors – fishing, boating, and golfing. He was mechanically minded and was involved in Odyssey Racing for several years. The ROCK in the family, he was strongly devoted to his wife, children, and grandchildren. Tom understood the value of being present, especially in the lives of his grandchildren. He will be fondly remembered for his ability to fix anything, his loyalty and dedication to his loved ones.
Tom was preceded in death by his parents and three brothers, Jim, Merle, and Freddie Quinn.
Survivors include his wife, Sherry (Cramblett) Quinn, to whom he was united in marriage December 17, 1977; daughters, Melissa (Michael) Turpin and Stephanie (Darrell) McGaha; brothers, Chuck (Dee) Quinn and Joe Quinn; grandchildren, Bree (Josh), Charlie, and Sarah Turpin; Eric (Jan) McGaha and Nikki Crayton; great grandchildren, Jake, Dalynn, Shealynn, Brenna, Hanna, and Brody.
Visitation will be Saturday, September 19, 2020, 2 to 4 p.m., at the Carlisle – Branson Funeral Service & Crematory, Mooresville. The service will follow at 4 p.m., with Jeff Warden officiating.
