Virginia Rine Gregory, 85, Indianapolis, passed away September 30, 2017. Mrs. Gregory was born January 30, 1932, in Jasonville, to the late Arthur and Anna (Payne) Rine.
She attended Jasonville High School. Virginia worked for a period of time as a weighmaster at Amax Coal and also worked at Balkamp for a number of years. After marrying Otis Gregory, they enjoyed several years of traveling. She and Otis lived in Mission, Texas before moving back to Indiana about six years ago. In addition to her family, Virginia loved her dogs, especially Princess and Missy.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sisters, Mary Smith, Helen Jones Smith, and Betty Rine Stansbury.
Survivors include two children, Anna Marie Piasco (Tom) of Danville and Jim Barton (Judy) of Greenwood; brother, Ed Rine (Janis) of Camby; several grandchildren and great grandchildren.
The funeral service will begin at 11 a.m. Thursday, October 5, 2017, in the chapel at Carlisle – Branson Funeral Service & Crematory, Mooresville, with calling hours there from 10 a.m. Burial will be in the White Lick Cemetery.
