Wallace Reid Turner ll, 74, of Mooresville, passed away on July 24, 2023. He was born in Indianapolis on March 26, 1949, to the late Wallace Reid and Ruth Agnes (Coatney) Turner. Reid graduated from Mooresville High School in 1967 and obtained his bachelor’s degree in microbiology from Ball State University. He worked as the Head of the Environmental Protection Agency for the State of Indiana for over 20 years. Reid went on to retire from Comulux as an EPA for over 10 years.
Reid’s lifelong passion was boating. He thoroughly enjoyed his family trips on the lake. Where there was water, Reid was happy. He was also a music fanatic, collecting vinyl records and playing bass. Reid loved listening to classic rock, The Moody Blues, and Pink Floyd. He will be remembered as an independent, free-spirited man who was always loyal to his family and friends.
Survivors include his siblings, Eric (Brenda) Turner, Lorraine (Daithi) Haxton, Bruce (Nikki) Turner; nieces and nephews, Alyson Turner, Courtney Brady, Anna (Rich) Main, Justin (Anna Guthrie) Turner, Thomas Turner, and Hilary Haxton.
A graveside service will begin at 2:30 P.M. on Friday, August 4, 2023, at White Lick Cemetery in Mooresville. The family will accept friends for visitation from 12 Noon until 2:00 P.M. at Carlisle-Branson Funeral Service.
