Walter H. Jones

Walter H. Jones, 80, of Darlington, died August 23, 2011. Mr. Jones was born March 9, 1931, in Indianapolis, to the late Peter Harrison and Ollie (Carpenter) Jones.

Mr. Jones retired from Whiteford Trucking and previously worked for Transcon Trucking and for Coastal Trucking. He was a member of Life Line Baptist Church, Camby and was an avid fisherman.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Virginia Lee (Branham) Jones; siblings, Clay, Gertrude, Jett, Jenny, Edna, and Pearl.

Survivors include his sons, Stephen Jones (Kelly) of Darlington and Jerry Jones (Rennie) of Rockville; daughters, Eydie Jones of California, Kathy Jones of Darlington, Roseann Monday (Dave) of Mooresville, and Jeanette Neese (the late Jerry) of Ladoga; 14 grandchildren; 16 great grandchildren.

The funeral service will begin at Noon, Friday, August 26, 2011, at Carlisle – Branson Funeral Service & Crematory, Mooresville, with calling there from 10 a.m. Entombment will be in Westridge Park Cemetery, Indianapolis.
