William "Bill" V. Thiede

William “Bill” Vance Thiede, age 60, of Mooresville, passed away Saturday, March 29, 2014. Born January 23, 1954 in Arlington, VA, he was the son of Clifford and Joan (Troup) Thiede.
Bill was very active and loved the outdoors. His interest included bicycling, scuba diving and motorcycles. He was a meticulous cleaner, was an avid baseball and football fan and proudly served our country in the US Marine Corp.
Survivors include his wife of 24 years, Tamara (Griggs) Thiede; his children: Jacob Thiede, Peter Thiede, Brandon Thiede, Rachel Hamlin and Kaitlyn Thiede; his parents, Clifford and Joan Thiede; his brother, Daniel Thiede; his sisters, Suzanne Phillips and Doreen Godfredson; along with his two grandchildren, Zoe and Lily Thiede.
A Celebration of Life Service will be Wednesday, April 2, 2014 at 7:00 p.m. in the Carlisle-Branson Funeral Service & Crematory, with the family receiving friends after 5:00 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to: The American Cancer Society, Relay for Life, Fisher House or Operation First Response.
