William V. “Bill” Holland, 71, of Mooresville, passed away on July 8, 2019 at his home surrounded by his family. Born on July 16, 1947 in Lebanon, Bill was the son of the late William and Nina (Belcher) Holland. On June 10, 1981 he was united in marriage to Judy (Davis) Holland; she preceded him in death on June 9, 2018.
Bill proudly served his country in the Army during the Vietnam War where he was wounded and was awarded the Purple Heart Medal. Following his career in the Army, he was a plant manager at Mechanics Laundry for 24 years and then worked in maintenance at Arbonne for 10 years.
Bill loved mowing his yard, his neighbor’s yards, and many family member’s yards; he was also known to be quite particular about it. He also enjoyed camping, hunting, woodworking, bird watching, watching The Curse of Oak Island, and being with his family. Bill is going to be greatly missed by his loving family and friends.
Survivors include his children, Scott, Sara, and Nancy Holland, Pam Nowlin, and Eric Fenwick; grandchildren, Jeremy, Jaime, Steve, Josh, Mary, Hunter, Darnell, Wally, Kailey, Riley, Jovaun, Keyton, and Darian; eleven great grandchildren; and his sister, Gail Harris. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Tami Moran.
Visitation will be held Friday, July 12, 2019 from 12:00 P.M. until 2:00 P.M. at the funeral home with the funeral service beginning at 2:00 P.M. Burial will follow in White Lick Cemetery, Mooresville. Visit www.CarlisleBranson.com to share a favorite memory or to sign the online guest registry.
