Wilma K. King, 81, Plainfield, passed away March 13, 2017, in Avon Health & Rehab. Mrs. King was born November 10, 1935, in Clay County to the late John Riley and Mary (Howald) Meyers.
She graduated from Monrovia High School in 1956. Mrs. King worked for Diamond Products as an inspector for ten years, retiring in 2002. She was an avid reader, enjoyed crossword puzzles, and was a strong Christian. She volunteered at the Plainfield Health Care Center for many years helping with Bingo. Above all, she was strongly devoted to her family and was happiest anytime she was in their midst.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by siblings, Eugene, Lloyd, Chester, Mavis, Annie, and Dorothy.
Survivors include her sons, Dennie Jr. King, of Kentucky, James D. King of Ohio, and Billy King of Michigan; daughters, Patsy Coffey of Mooresville, Evelyn Staten of Kentucky, Shirley King of Ohio, and Kathy Stout of Ohio; sixteen grandchildren, and many great grandchildren.
The funeral service will begin at 10:30, Thursday, March 16, 2017, in the chapel at Carlisle – Branson Funeral Service & Crematory, Mooresville, with calling there from 4 to 8 p.m., Wednesday, March 15, 2017. Burial will be in Mt. Pleasant Cemetery, Hall. Memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer's Association.
