Wilma Ruth Gentry
93, of Mooresville, IN passed away on April 7, 2019 at Meadow Lakes in Mooresville. Wilma was born on January 28, 1926 to the late Fletcher and Myrtle (Helderman) Gentry in Monrovia, Indiana.
Wilma enjoyed growing up in rural Morgan County. At a young age, she and her sisters learned about hard work and dedication, through raising horses. She would later use those same attributes working at Diamond Chain in Indianapolis, where she retired after 47 years of service. She was a member of the Order of Pythian Sisters and a lifetime member of the Golden Spur Saddle Club. She also enjoyed reading and was a lifelong diehard IU fan.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her siblings; Mildred Jean Gentry, Esther Louise Anderson, Charles Curtis Gentry and Georgianna Thurmond.
Survivors include her nieces and nephews; Charles Anderson, Suzi Stone, Guy “Dickie” Thurmond, Gaylene McCain, as well as good friends and caregivers; Barbie Coy and her sister Pam Lawyer.
Visitation will be held from 1:30pm-2:30pm Saturday, April 20th at Carlisle- Branson Funeral Service & Crematory, Mooresville. Graveside services will be held Saturday April 20th at 3:00pm at Mooresville Cemetery.
