Winona Rose Kieffer Katra
88, of Plainfield, passed away on February 6, 2021 at home, surrounded by her family. Winona was born on August 22, 1932 in Indianapolis, IN to the late Theobald and Beatrice (Bryant) Stiles.
Winona was a beautician by trade, but later worked in the Monrovia High School bookstore and most recently retired from Link Belt. She was an outstanding seamstress, often sewing, knitting and crocheting many pieces of clothing, blankets and afghans for family and friends. She was also a member of the American Legion Post #500.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husbands, Carl Spoon, Anthony Richard Kieffer Jr.; a son Kyle Spoon and a brother Ronald Stiles.
Survivors include her daughter Catherine Miles; sister Madonna Bryant; granddaughters Amanda Scott, Victoria Lathan; great grandchildren Wyatt Scott, Conner Lathan, Raylynn Rose Lathan, Cameron Napier, Lindsey Napier and husband Donald Lee Katra.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, Feb. 10th from 12pm-2pm at Carlisle Branson Funeral Service & Crematory, Mooresville with services beginning at 2pm Wednesday in the funeral home. Burial will follow the services in Maple Hill Cemetery, Plainfield. All guests attending visitation and/or services will be required to wear a mask at all times in an effort to promote a safe environment.
