Woodson “Woody” Cheek Sr.

93 of Eminence, passed away on December 23, 2021, surrounded by his family. Woody was born on October 21, 1928, in Lake, Kentucky to the late Dewey and Maggie (York) Cheek.
Woody lived in Eminence, Indiana after he married his loving wife Eva Mae Burnett July 29, 1950. Woody had a true passion for golfing, hunting, fishing, old mustangs, but especially his 1940 Black Ford Coupe. Mr. Cheek also served our nation in the United States Air Force until he received his honorable discharge on December 4, 1955, ranked as Staff Sergeant. Woody was an entrepreneur and started his business in 1973 called Exotic Metal Treating of Indianapolis Indiana, which is still in business today and currently operated by his loving family. Woodson was also a member of Grace Point Church of Whiteland, Indiana

Woody is survived by his son, Woody Jr. (Sandy) Cheek, daughters Kathy (Keith) Susko, Kelli (Todd) Jackson, one brother, Glenn Cheek, two sisters Eveline Jones, and Cleo Gray, 3 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren.
Woody is preceded in death by his wife Eva Mae (Burnett) Cheek, one brother, Kenneth Cheek, two sisters, Lola Mae Jones and Roberta Mills.

Family and friends can gather for Woody’s Life Celebration at Carlisle Branson Funeral Service & Crematory, 39 East High Street in Mooresville Indiana 46158 on Thursday, December 30, 2021, from 4-7pm. Funeral services will be Friday, December 31, 2021, at 10am. Entombment will be at Maple Hill Cemetery in Plainfield Indiana immediately following the funeral service at Carlisle Branson funeral Service in Mooresville.
