Mark S. Thompson

Mark Stephen Thompson, beloved husband, father, son, brother, and friend passed away October 11, 2022, at the age of 39 while living his life to the fullest. Mark was born March 7, 1983 to Mark and Debbie (Barnes) Thompson. He married Jessica Warthen and was a doting father to Fiora and Mark Sylvester. Mark was the heart of his family and friends. He always had a smile and a chuckle as he went about constructing the world around him. He was the one to call in a pinch, but only if you had time for him to show up late. Some of his best times were spent playing strategy games with his buddies and nurturing his aquariums. Mark will be remembered for living his life with simplicity, joy, and authenticity.
Mark is survived by his loving wife; Jessica (Warthen) Thompson, children; Fiora and Mark Thompson, parents; Mark and Debbie (Barnes) Thompson, step-parents Stephanie Thompson and John Davidson, sisters Kari (Matt) Allen, Daisy Thompson and Gabrielle (Cory) Caudill and Stephanie Davidson, brother; Todd (Carrie) Liles, grandparents; Charles and Lou Ann Thompson, brother-in-law; Marcus Warthen and nephews Phalen, Simon and Foster.
Mark was preceded in death by his grandparents; Leona and Darwin Barnes.
A Celebration of life gathering will be held November 5, 2022, 2:00-5:00 at Abounding Grace of Martinsville, 1795 Centerton Rd, Martinsville, IN 46151. Donations to support his family has been established and are requested over flowers at
