Gloria Greenwald
71, of Mooresville, passed away peacefully at home, surrounded by her family on July 24, 2021. Gloria was born on August 3, 1949 in Indianapolis, IN to the late Audrey (Eagan) and Gervin Wise.
Gloria was united in marriage to Tom Greenwald on December 7, 1968. Together the raised two children, John and Julie. Gloria worked for Cinergy (Duke Energy) as a legal secretary for many years, retiring in 2003. She was strong in her faith and was a faithful member of the Waverly United Methodist Church. As her daughter recalled, “She was everyone’s Mom!” She opened her home up to all her children’s friends and would allow them to stay as long as they wanted to, as long as they called their folks to let them know they were safe and where they were. When her children were young, she served as a leader in Cub Scouts, Girls Scouts and was Past Officer of the PTO and PTA at West Newton and Mill Creek Elementary. More recently, she stayed active volunteering at the Mooresville Christian Academy and the Desert Rose Shelter in Martinsville. She will be missed by a loving family and many friends.
She is survived by her husband of 52 years, Tom Greenwald; son John Thomas Greenwald (Carin); daughter Julie Gregory (Rodney); sister Amy Ward; grandchildren Audra, Rebeka, Emily, Cady, Dylan and great granddaughter Addison.

Our Deepest Sympathies,
I am sorry to hear of Gloria’s passing. The Greenwalds were our neighbors during my youth. Tom and Gloria were married just a few short months before my husband and I. May the Lord comfort all of you at this time. Eva (Wilkerson) Gouge
