Guestbook

  1. He was very passionate about all things he loved to do. I enjoyed having Game of Thrones discussions with him. I know he loved his family very much! Ben, we are going to miss you! Lisa Johnson

  2. If you worked at the Bountiful Dick’s Market in the late 90s, you knew Ben as he was the most popular employee there. I always knew Ben as an adventurous, and hilarious, friend. He also was sincere, empathetic, and a true friend to many different types of people. Times with Ben were always fun, crazy, and hilarious. I will always remember getting off work with Ben, and other work friends like Erik Chipp, after 11 p.m. and we would cruise up Farmington Canyon in my 1966 Chevy truck in the dead of winter. The truck had neither a heater nor 4-wheel-drive and one time we tried to hook tire chains up only to have them fly off and wrap around the axle. Luckily, we were freed from this bind by Eric’s skills and a Jeep full of people who stopped to help us around 4 a.m. We would also drive around blasting 90s alternative rock music on that old truck radio and the lines that immortalize these wild adventures with Ben are from Smashing Pumpkin’s “Zero” where it reads “Say your prayers for we’re really going to need them! Throw out your cares and fly. Wanna go for a ride?” These times were purely based on our teenage sense of wreckless adventure and I will always be grateful to Ben for sharing his youthful spirit with me. I love you, Buddy. My family and I send our love to you in Heaven and to your family here on earth. You will be missed by me and so many others.

  3. Ben and I met about 12 years ago on an online video game. Every time we would play together we would have a blast. He was hysterical and was a great leader. He would always talk about how much he loved his children and wanted to spend every moment he could with them. When he met Ann you could tell he was in love and that he had met his soulmate. Even though we were talking though a game you could tell how much she meant to him. I had the pleasure of meeting them both in real life and the moments we shared I will never forget. We had such great times! His generosity and selflessness will always stand out in my mind, always offering to help in any way he could if I told him I wasn’t doing well. He was an amazing person and I feel honored to of had the privilege of knowing him.

  4. We are so saddened to hear of Ben’s passing. Sending our love and prayers that you will feel peace and comfort as you bare the huge hole that Ben’s passing has brought. All our love, Porter Family

  5. Benjamin was a special man, one of my favorite nephews. I watched and heard of him from a distance throughout his life, but the few encounters that I did have with him helped me realize that this young man would face life and it’s challenges with courage and determination. My heart goes out to Ann and her family as well as Cheridee and her family. You cannot perhaps understand why this has happened now in such a way, but in time you will come to love him even more as you realize he is is a better place where his physical pain and anguish is no longer there. He will be missed, but he will be watching over each of you. His influence will go on in all of your lives until you meet again. We send our love and best wishes in this time of great sorrow. Kent Brough

  6. Ben, you were such a genuine and passionate guy with so much love to share. There was never any denying how much you loved my aunt Ann, Aspen, Alexa, Emily, and Samuel. Although I unfortunately wasn’t able to spend too much time with you over the years, I always admired how you poured your heart into things you were passionate about. I’m going to miss your stories and talking sports with you. I hope you are at peace and that you and my brother are together again. Rest easy
