Mary Katherine McGill

Mary Katherine McGill, 82, of Indianapolis, passed away September 30, 2020. Mary was born August 1, 1938, in Indianapolis, to the late Louis F. and Ruth O. (Hornback) Henry.
Mary retired from JC Penny’s. She grew up going to St. Anthony Catholic Church and most recently attending St. Thomas More Catholic Church. She enjoyed socializing with her friends. She was in the group Silver Sneakers at Core Fitness Club. She would also meet with her other group, St. John's Girls, yearly for a lunch. Mary enjoyed doing puzzles, watching movies, walking at the park, and listening to Elvis. Mary like to support her local sports teams, especially the COLTS. Her favorite player was Peyton Manning. Mary always enjoyed a good orange soda pop. Her biggest joy was spending time with her family, especially the grandchildren. Mary is going to be greatly missed by her loving family and friends.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her brothers, Patrick Henry (Twin) and Louis Henry.
Survivors include her children, Paula Wilson of Indianapolis and Janet (Michael) Weeks of Plainfield; a sister, Gloria Gramme of California; grandchildren, Charlie (Emily) Wilson, Heather (Seth) Koval, Kayla (Dakota) Rhodes, and Ashley Weeks; great grandchildren, Izzy and Jolene.
Friends and family will gather to celebrate Mary’s life on Sunday, October 4, 2020, 2 to 5 p.m., at Carlisle – Branson Funeral Service & Crematory, Mooresville. Additional visitation hours will be on Monday, October 5, 2020, 10 to 11 a.m. at the funeral home. The funeral service will begin at 11 a.m. Burial will follow at Forest Lawn Memory Gardens, Greenwood. Mary was a very kind person. I enjoyed the time we wotked together at J. C. Penny.
