  2. Art, thank you for being you. All the hugs you’ve given me over the years meant so much. I have always considered you my surrogate grandfather. Your friendship with my dad engulfed my entire family. Please give my dad a hug from us when you see him. Trisha Allen

  3. COL Raney was a outstanding Officer and Aviator in the 38th Aviation Battalion of the 38th Infantry Division of the Indiana National Guard. I enjoyed working for him. He was always very concerned about the welfare of the troops. COL (ret) Bill Hopkins

  4. My condolences, Kathy. He was a kind and generous man! He always had a smile and encouraging words. A true brother in Christ!

  5. Years ago mom said that Art and I were the 2 smartest people she had ever knew. That’s true about Art ,but not myself. Art was a gentleman.and he cared about others

  7. Kathy, I am so very sorry for your loss. Please know that Keith and I will be holding you, and your family, close in prayer. May the Lord grant you peace and comfort in the coming days.

  8. Honored to have known Art for many years through the Gideons. A fine man and a true testimony as to what a Christina gentleman should be. He has been missed as he became less able and will be no less missed not. If Christians are to represent Christ, then let me say “Well done, faithful servant!” to those he left behind.

  9. So many good memories. Art came to visit Mom & Dad for serious talk when I was 8. I made lemon meringue pie that day (with Mom overseeing). They all had a nice big piece that night. Through the years he always was asking me to make lemon meringue pie. I did make him more when I was an adult. He & his wife, Maxine were very good friends to our family all thru the years.

  10. Arthur Raney was my boss at ISP. He was always friendly and respectful towards me. Thanks for your service in World War I I. May he Rest in Peace forever and ever!
